Native Bee Habitat at Kendale Elementary Garden Club

We always talk about honey bees, since that is what we do, however, I found it necessary to talk to a Garden Club at the local elementary school about the importance of native bees as well. Some of them are much more efficient at pollinating native flowers than honey bees. Unfortunately, the more we grow and take over their habitat, the more difficult it becomes for them to find a place for raising their young. Therefore, Bunch Farms constructed and installed a native bee habitat to encourage native bees in the school’s vegetable and flower garden. Can’t wait to see them move in!
